International Educational Exchange Program (IEEP)
This program has been initiated to disseminate the Children's Forest Program and to nurture those who will work for OISCA. OISCA International is carrying out this program with the intent to create friendly relations among the nations concerned and the International Foundation for Cultural Harmony and OISCA Academy agree to cooperate to give financial and educational support to the exchange students. Total nineteen students have been selected and send to OISCA Academy to do their plus two courses.
OISCA Scholarship Scheme
We have introduced a scholarship scheme to help poor girl students, who excel in studies. Some members came forward to donate a certain amount to this scheme. Applications are invited each year and eligible students are awarded the scholarship.
Relief Activities
Relief programs are started immediately on instances of natural disasters. Relief Aid like medicines, Food and clothing are collected by the members and are shipped to victims. OISCA had started relief activities after Tsunami hit South India. We have rebuilt an school block and two houses in Alapat Panchayath at a cost of 19 lakh INR. OISCA Japan had contributed Rs 8 lakh for the construction of an school block in Kollam district and Prof. Tsuyoshi Nara donated Rs 4 lakhs for constructing a house for the victims. The Kollam chapter members have done remarkable work for this project. The completed school block and houses have been handed over to the beneficiary
OISCA Ambulance and Crane services & Road Safety programs.
With the financial support of the ministry of road transport and Highways, Govt. of India , we have conducted Road Safety programs in a few districts in South India. The ministry has provided necessary funds under ‘grant – in – aid for administering road safety programs.’ This training program is mainly for selected heavy vehicle drivers.
In recognition to various road safety programs of OISCA, Government of India provided OISCA with a Swaraj Mazda Ambulance and a crane to help the people who meet with accidents in roads. These vehicles are worth 40 lakh rupees, an OISCA is one among the 4 NGOs who got these facilities
