Silver jubilee Programs

SILVER JUBILEE YEAR – 1985 ­2010

Dear OISCAn,

Please find below the activities that are to be carried out in the coming months in your

respective chapters.

1. Convene the `Teacher coordinators meeting ` at an earliest convenient date.

2. Make arrangements to conduct the first round of the Top Teen written test on Sunday 8 th August. Inform the name of the Centers and the total number of question papers required before 15th July. (terms and conditions same as last year)

3. Send the World Environment Day program reports for selection of award.

4. Conduct Environment Awareness programs and Tree planting in all Schools.

5. Celebrate OISCA DAY on 23 rd July birth day of Dr.Yonosuke Nakano, OISCA founder.

6. Observe Hiroshima Day on Friday 6 th August.

7. Take initiative to form new Chapters/reactivate existing chapters in your area.

8. Kerala South Regional Conference will be held at Kollam on Sunday 18 th July at 10am. The Council members of all Chapters in Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alapuzha, Kollam, Trivandrum, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Nagercoil districts are invited to participate in this conference. (Host OISCA Kollam Chapter)

9. The North Kerala Regional Conference will be held on Sunday 1 st August in Badagara at 10am. (Host Badagara Chapter) All council members of Chapters in Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad, Calicut, Kannur and Kasargode districts are invited.

10. The UN body has invited a three member OISCA delegation to attend The 63rd Annual NGO Conference at Melbourne, Australia. All expenses to be met by participants themselves. Interested senior members may send their nomination through Chapters.

11. OISCA International Board of Directors meeting and Bio diversity Conference will be held on 14 th & 15 th of October at Nagoya, Japan. Senior Chapters Officials can apply. All expenses including registration fee should be paid by themselves.

12. The South India Silver Jubilee Convention will be held during November this year.

13. Pl enroll all members, their families and friends in the OISCA/LIC’s Micro Insurance. The coordinator is entitled to get 7% commission. For details contact 09447113567.

14. It has been decided to constitute an Award for Best initiative taken for Tree planting and Environment Awareness campaign, among corporate bodies and individuals.
